So lately things have not been tasting "right"....it is the chemo. That is not the secret.
Today I was hungry for French Fries for dinner (lunch for those who have dinner when I have supper) . I like my fries crispy. I didn't have frozen ones, I hardly ever buy them because we like homemade ones....but the problem was, that they get soggy.
So here is what I did....this is the secret! Fry in small batches, like one potato at a time. Fry them then take them and drain them well. Then after you have fried them all the first time, fry a second time. They are crispy and golden and delicious.....Yumm! Nothing better than homemade fryes with potatoes from our garden~~~
I had a huge craving for McD's fries one time. Ate them and that craving was done. I was so scared it would be bad for life...but my taste buds came around to sensibility :)

ReplyDelete:) My doctors and nurses keep telling me this is not the time to loose wait...that will come. So they have given me permission to eat what I think tastes good.....I have lost most of my taste sensation, but I feel hungry. So comfort food tastes good. Cold and creamy does well. I have trouble with the spicy food that I love usually. One spice overpowers the others and does not taste good. So I have gone back to my bland Norwegian roots! I still collect recipes so they will be waiting for me later (when I have to cut back on the butter). My timing stinks!
