Life is good! Really good....Still have cancer, still taking chemo pills. But these pills have less severe side effects. I tell my doctor, they are a miracle!!! Checks have been good too. So we continue to live in grace and hope....
On another note....It was our turn to host our monthly conference meeting. So I pulled out an old recipe and made them for a snack. This time I added a zippy dip. They were Sausage balls with a mustard dipping sauce.....Great for breakfast or anytime.
Sausage Balls
3 cups biscuit mix
1 pound breakfast sausage, fried and crumbled or 1 ½ cups chopped ham
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
2 teaspoons spicy mustard
2/3 cup milk
Combine all ingredients . Shape into 1 inch balls. Place approximately 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from pan, serve warm. Can substitute pepperoni if you want.
Dipping Sauce
½ cup mayo
½ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon spicy mustard
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
2-6 drops hot sauce
½ teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic minced
Combine and chill. Serve with sausage balls
