What Happened?

Today is Friday the 13th! Maybe that should concern me, but it doesn't. What does make me wonder is what happened to November, December, and January? I feels like I just posted something about Mac and Cheese....but when I looked at the post date, it was October. That feels like along time ago, but on the other hand it was just yesterday.

The holiday season is a blurrrrr! After our family Christmas gathering on Christmas Day we escaped the cold and windy north and headed south....we were dandelion fluff and we went where the wind took us....no one was surprised when we ended up in:
Traffic was unbelievable! Bumper to bumper from North Carolina to Orlando. Marcus was home for Christmas and we dropped him off at his new home in Cayce, South Carolina. Cayce is one of the suburbs of Columbia. We spent some time with him and then we were back on the road.
We stopped in Daytona Beach to get in some beach time....and take a ride along the coast. We will defiantly be returning to spend some time here:

The next day it was a short drive that took hours into Orlando....and "The Happiest Place On Earth". It called our name and we could not resist! Crowds were massive and with that long lines and high emotions. We were exhausted and spent the first four days sleeping in our room. After new years, the crowds thinned out and we had a great time. We came back just in time to miss a snow storm.

Life is back to normal and today is a beautiful day on the banks of Rock Creek. The sun is shining and the air is crisp. I am trying to write a sermon for Transfiguration Sunday, Ash Wednesday, and prepare for the second session of the First Communion Class that I will teach tomorrow morning. Life can not get much better than that!

Blessings to you as we celebrate Mardi Gras and prepare for the Lenten Season.....
